3-7-2025 – The cryptocurrency market rebounded sharply today after two days of declines, with Bitcoin (BTC) surging 3.12% in 24 hours to surpass the $109,000 level, according to data from SoSoValue.
Ethereum (ETH) also posted significant gains, climbing 7.03% to approach $2,600. Sector-wide momentum was evident, as indexes representing major segments—such as DeFi, Layer1, Layer2, and AI—recorded gains between 4% and 9%. Notably, the AI sector rose 9.06% in 24 hours, with Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) and ai16z (AI16Z) jumping 13.33% and 16.05% respectively. Meme tokens saw a renewed surge, led by Bonk (BONK), up 20.06%, following news of an upcoming 2x leveraged ETF launch by Tuttle Capital.
Other standout performers included Celestia (TIA) in the Layer2 sector, rising 17.67%, and real-world asset projects Plume (PLUME) and Keeta (KTA), which advanced 18.72% and 24.07%. Uniswap (UNI) gained 12.28% within DeFi, while Cardano (ADA) rose 7.88% among Layer1s. The sector indexes ssiAI, ssiGameFi, and ssiLayer2 climbed 9.35%, 9.25%, and 8.52% respectively, reflecting broad-based investor optimism.
Analysts are watching to see if today’s rally marks a sustained trend or a short-term recovery, as markets digest ETF news and sector rotation.
