2-6-2025 – A chilling alert from blockchain security firm SlowMist has exposed a cunning phishing scheme targeting cryptocurrency users. The fraudulent operation, centred around the website signature.land, lures victims with deceptive claims that their wallets suffer from “risk authorization” issues, urging them to input their private keys to rectify the supposed problem. This malicious site has been unmasked as a phishing platform by ScamSniffer, a Web3 anti-fraud initiative, sounding the alarm for users across the crypto community.
The scam’s sophistication lies in its mimicry of a legitimate Revoke tool, with a user interface designed to deceive even the wary. Investigations reveal that the site fabricates risk assessments, and any data entered by unsuspecting users is funnelled directly to the email address [email protected]. Behind this operation is an individual known as Titan, who employs a web of deceitful tactics. These include posing as SlowMist staff, adopting the Telegram avatar of prominent crypto investigator Zachxbt, and leveraging a 74,000-follower X account to post misleading comments under crypto users’ posts, falsely warning of wallet vulnerabilities and directing them to the phishing link.
