31-7-2025 – Two dormant Bitcoin addresses have transferred 50 BTC each in separate transactions, marking the first movement from wallets created during Bitcoin’s earliest mining period around block 54,316, according to blockchain monitoring service Whale Alert.
The addresses were generated near the end of Satoshi Nakamoto’s known active period, when Bitcoin’s anonymous creator was still participating in network operations. However, Whale Alert clarified that these specific blocks were highly unlikely to have been mined by Satoshi himself, distinguishing them from the founder’s suspected holdings.
The movement of early Bitcoin often generates significant market attention, as these coins represent some of the cryptocurrency’s oldest unmoved supply.
