10-7-2025 – The Ethereum Foundation has announced a major organizational restructuring centered on maximizing user adoption and strengthening the network’s infrastructure resilience, according to a vision statement released by the organization.
The foundation outlined two primary strategic objectives: expanding Ethereum’s user base both directly and through layer-2 solutions, while simultaneously fortifying the network’s technical and social foundations. To execute this vision, the organization is launching four specialized teams targeting different aspects of ecosystem growth.
The new enterprise relations team will focus on creating tailored resources and guidance for businesses integrating Ethereum into their operations. Meanwhile, a dedicated developer growth unit will work to attract and support emerging blockchain builders. The foundation is also establishing an application relations and research division to accelerate development of user-focused Ethereum applications, alongside a support team specifically designed to provide non-financial assistance to project founders through mentorship, operational expertise, and strategic introductions.
This restructuring represents a shift toward more targeted outreach efforts as Ethereum faces increasing competition from alternative blockchain platforms. The foundation’s emphasis on enterprise adoption and developer support suggests a focus on building sustainable, long-term growth rather than speculative activity.
The initiative comes as Ethereum continues to dominate the decentralized finance and NFT sectors while facing scalability challenges that layer-2 solutions aim to address. The foundation’s dual focus on user expansion and infrastructure resilience reflects ongoing efforts to maintain Ethereum’s position as the leading smart contract platform while preparing for mainstream adoption.
